In addiction to the special opening time of the main churches , during the events of Genio Fiorentino 2009, it will be possible to visit the city with a guide, free of charge.
MAY 16-24, all days.
times:
10.00am – 11.00am – 3pm
FREE walking guided tours in the city center, starting from Piazza San Giovanni (Piazza del Duomo, Baptistry side).
The tour at 10.00 am is in english, as well as the one at 3pm. The first tour includes: Duomo, piazza della Repubblica, Orsanmichele, Palazzo Davanzati, Porcellino, piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio – Old Bridge, Bargello, Santa Croce, Dante’s sights, towered-florentine houses).
The tour at 3.00 pm is in english and italian and includes: Ponte Vecchio – Old Bridge, Santa Felicita, Piazza Pitti, via Maggio, Santo Spirito, Santa Trinita bridge and Santa Trinita church.
MAY 18-23, all days.
FREE guided tour in San Lorenzo church and its secrets. The visit includes San Lorenzo square and the Market.

From tomorrow MAY 16 to MAY 31 in the Galleria Medici of Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, which is on your way to go to the Duomo square (and it’s 2 steps from MR resort and Grand Tour B&B) there will be an exhibition of handmade silver jewels.
