Operas and Concerts in Florence (1)

August 30, 2009

stmarks-anglican-chIf you love Classic Music, you will enjoy the St. Mark’s Opera Company.

They play in the St. Mark’s Anglican Church located in Via Maggio 18, very close to the Old Bridge, and I can say that the place is lovely: completely restored, it is a small jewel of the Renaissance, and as audience you can partecipate in the performance very close to the artists (on comfortable seats, which is rare in small churches).

Concertos and operas are not expensive (15,00-24,00 euros per person, discounts for seniors and students), and it is possibile to book by phone, by email or by the classictic.com web site (english, french and US versions available).

This year the programme includes the Bohème, Traviata, Rigoletto, The Barber of Seville, Carmen, etc.
Concerts start at 9.15 pm.

More informations about the Programme, the Performers, the Location are available on www.concertoclassico.info
